The International Gemological Institute (IGI) was founded in 1975 at the World Diamond Center in Antwerp, Belgium, and is currently the world's largest independent Gemological identification laboratory and Gemological research and education institution. It is the maker of the world's first complete and comprehensive diamond cutting grading table, and the only trans-continental and global laboratory in the real sense among the world's three major authoritative appraisal institutions (GIA, IGI, HRD).

In the world's major diamond trading centers (Antwerp, New York, Toronto, Dubai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, Los Angeles, Mumbai), there are a total of 15 laboratories, known as the "consumer around the authority of identification."

The colors of IGI cultivated diamonds can be classified into detailed grades, which are: D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. The detailed grading is the same as that of natural diamonds.

IGI cultivated diamond clarity can be divided into detailed grades, respectively: Exchanges (flawless), VVS1, (internal flawless), VVS2, VS1, VS2, Si1 (containing small inclusions), Si2 (large small inclusions), I1~I3 (content visible inclusions), detailed grading is the same as natural diamond, Determine the grading of the diamond.

Diamond cutting mainly includes three aspects: diamond cutting (irregular diamond has no cutting grade), polishing and symmetry. There are 6 grades: Ideal, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair and Poor. The grades are the same as natural diamonds.

5. The final note in the last column of the IGI certificate will indicate that the diamond is artificial and whether the diamond was grown by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT).

The certificate will also include a QR code that links to IGI's reporting query system, providing consumers with more detailed information about lab-grown diamond certificates.
